During the Lockdown I lost count of the number of calls I had from pregnant women desperate to find a way to get a maternity photoshoot before bubs arrived and they missed out.  It did feel like babies were the only ones arriving in Victoria during those long winter months!

I heard so many stories of how the Lockdown was affecting their pregnancies – babymoon’s were cancelled, baby showers went online or were scrapped, husbands and partners were asked not to attend scans, pregnancy massages could not be had to relieve aches and pains, drive by doctor appointments were a thing for some, family and friends missed out on sharing in the excitement of feeling bubs kicking and moving on the inside, nursery’s were furnished via click and collect rather than days spent browsing in baby shops…..It broke my heart to not be able to capture pregnancy memories for every single one of those women.

While sadly I can’t turn back time and do a maternity photoshoots for you, I can do newborn and/or baby photoshoots for anyone who has missed out over the last 7 – 8 months.

While the ideal window (the first two weeks) for newborn photoshoots may have come and gone, newborn photos are still possible with older babies!  While some poses cannot be done safely, many can and you have the chance to get more beautiful photos of your baby awake.
