At just three weeks old, this little lady is already getting ready to take her first flight, home.

Matilda arrived a month early here in Melbourne and her parents are taking her home to the Northern Territory this week.

Flying with newborns/babies is stressful for many parents, there is so much conflicting advice out there:

1. Board first / Board last
2. Request a window seat vs Request an aisle seat
3. Feed prior to take-off so you board with a settled baby vs feed on take-off/landing as the sucking action can help equalise their ears.
